Ewon to attend Singapore-Sabah Business Roundtable 2026, launch Experience Sabah 2.0

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick will undertake a three-day working visit to Singapore beginning today, as part of efforts to strengthen business, investment and tourism ties between Sabah and Singapore.

Ewon, who is also Sabah Minister of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport (MINDET), will attend the Singapore-Sabah Business Roundtable 2026, which will bring together representatives from around 50 companies.

He is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the business roundtable, while Invest Sabah and MIDA Singapore will also make presentations during the dialogue.

The programme will provide an important platform to showcase Sabah’s investment opportunities, explore potential business partnerships and strengthen economic cooperation between Sabah and Singapore.

During the visit, Ewon will also officiate the launch of Experience Sabah 2.0, organised by the Sabah Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STTOS), an agency under MINDET.

The initiative is aimed at promoting Sabah as an attractive destination for tourism, trade and investment among Singaporean businesses and visitors.

Ewon is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Singapore Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim.

In addition, he will visit the Accenture Singapore Innovation Hub to gain insights into innovation, technology and potential opportunities for collaboration that could benefit Sabah’s economic and industrial development.

The delegation accompanying Ewon comprises senior officials and representatives from MINDET, Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP), Sabah Economic Development and Investment Authority (SEDCO), Invest Sabah, SMJ Energy and the Sabah Oil and Gas Services Council (SOGSC).

The working visit is expected to further strengthen Sabah-Singapore economic relations while opening new avenues for investment, trade, tourism and innovation cooperation.
